Hyndland

Made for Hyndland homes

Hyndland is Glasgow’s only neighbourhood designated as an Outstanding Conservation Area. Its red and blonde sandstone tenements, terraces and villas require historically accurate sash and case windows and doors.

Hilston and Bennett specialise in conservation-compliant timber joinery, designed to preserve Hyndland’s architectural significance.

Local know-how: Where a flat shares a building with neighbours, we match the existing glazing pattern, profile and colour so the whole elevation stays consistent. Changes to listed buildings, or to homes in a conservation area, usually need approval from Glasgow City Council, so we make like-for-like timber windows and doors to suit. We also cover nearby Dowanhill, Partickhill and Broomhill.

Every window and door is made to your exact sizes and style in our own workshop, matched to the character of your property and designed to meet listed building and conservation requirements.
